Guerilla Yogi is back with a fresh calendar of dates and times, and the newest class kicks off this Saturday 8 October at 11h30 at the The American Church in Paris (65 Quai d'Orsay.) Guerilla Yogi was created by certified Anusara Yoga teacher Marc Holzman who dreamed up the idea of a roving, donation-based yoga movement while living in Los Angeles. Guerilla is a near homophone of "gorilla," and it's funny to contemplate what kind of rogue military unit a monkey might devise. One devoted to liberating bananas? One devoted to serving others out of devotion, à la Hanuman?
Now based in Paris, Marc has transferred Guerilla Yogi to this latest stronghold, and divides teaching duties with Anne Vandewalle (also certified), and a rotating band of visiting teachers -- the surprise guest list has featured Jayendra Hanley, Elena Brower and Susanna Harwood Rubin.
Guerilla Yogi is a juicy, 2-hour full-spectrum Anusara Yoga practice. As Marc says, "Bring your own mat and an open heart." 20€ suggested donation. All levels welcome.
