If you’ve ever put on an O’Neill wetsuit, you’ll be familiar with founder Jack O’Neill’s saying which is printed on the wetsuit's interior: “It’s always summer on the inside.” That surfer’s mantra is essential when you’re about to launch yourself into the icy Pacific surf, and just as relevant to the non-surfer who might be feeling that first daunting snap of Fall. Yogis, like surfers, are a pretty sophisticated bunch: they know how to cultivate a sunny, calm interior state in order to ward off the turbulence of outside forces. They also know that without the fertile darkness of Autumn and Winter, there’d be no dazzling Spring and Summer to enjoy in the first place.
For those of you crying “What a load of nonsense! Bring back Summer!” have we got ideas for you! In addition to Caroline Boulinguez's retreat to Guéthary (17-25 September), here are two more getaways to help you prolong the warmth of Summer’s embrace.
