Using scent and movement, we will go into a deeper state of awareness and presence, transforming the yoga practice into a healing experience.
Like yoga, essential oils and fragrances have been used for thousands of years to heal and balance the mind-body connection.
Since the sense of smell is the easiest pathway to the brain’s limbic system where memories, instincts and vital functions are controlled and processed it makes sense to use specific essential oils and fragrances in our asana and meditation practice.
Here are some of the powerful benefits of essential oils:

In the workshop, we will encourage exploration and discovery using the olfactory sense and cognition to elicit memories. Imagine the warm, fuzzy feelings that fragrances like fresh bread, popcorn, the sea, cut grass, and many others can induce. Using the sense of smell, asana practice, and meditation, we will recall memories and use our imagination to renew our spirit.
We will finish our practice with a Laughter Yoga session, “When you have a heartfelt belly laugh, all parts of your being - the physiological, the psychological, the spiritual - they all vibrate in one single tune, they all vibrate in harmony” —Osho
Laughter meditation is probably the easiest of all meditations. There is nothing to focus on, nothing to chant, nothing to visualize. You just laugh. We will try different techniques that are guaranteed to get the ball rolling if you have trouble letting your laughter go!
