In this dynamic 2.5 hour workshop, we will focus on the “core” (abdominal muscles) in a Jivamukti-style class.
By learning and applying principles of core strength and stability to a yoga practice, common injuries (like lower back injuries) can be avoided. Activating your core will help make your yoga practice stronger, fluid and keep your back healthy and happy. Your transitions between postures will be more fluid and your inversions stronger. Training your core muscles creates endurance and stability throughout the whole body.
Kari Zabel has been teaching yoga since 2004 and is an Advanced Certified Jivamukti teacher based at the Jivamukti Centers in Munich. She also studies Ayurveda and habit change science, and works as a health coach.
