Expand, open your practice, and touch your life in a new way. Tap into freedom to release the qualities of a true leader. Listen for a voice that says, “TEACH,” and make that voice heard.
You can perform asanas, does that mean you can teach? Sitting in the seat of teacher is a skill and a privilege. Cultivating that voice takes time and practice. There is a difference between being an instructor and being an educator.
Expansion, Freedom & Voice™, entering its sixth successful year, is not just a 200-hr training. It’s a community where serious practitioners and new teachers can discover their potential and find the support they need to bring it into the world as a form of service. That may mean becoming a yoga educator for others, or it may mean just showing up in our own lives in more meaningful, conscious ways.
In addition to the strong emphasis on the physical postures, functional anatomy, and alignment principles, EFV incorporates the more contemplative practices of meditation, energy anatomy, history, philosophy, and mythology.
You will learn from our skilled team of international yoga professionals (Marc Holzman, Silke Schroeder, Susanna Harwood Rubin, Leslie Kaminoff, Amy Matthews, etc), how to build the basic foundation on which to continue authentically deepening your own practice (first) and if called, being in service to others as a teacher (second.)
This training will span a nine-month period and is designed for working professionals, parents, and busy urban people who never thought they could make time to deepen their practice to this level. Upon successful completion, EFV graduates are invited to enter EFV Labs, an incubator for continuing education, professional development, and on-going support for new teachers.
