Arm Balances: Katonah Yoga with Ari Halbert


A licensed acupuncturist, holistic nutrition coach, Qi Gong instructor, and registered yoga teacher with over a decade of experience Ari brings a diverse, multi-disciplinary approach to his work.

This workshop is for beginner and intermediate-level students and will focus on mastery of the foundational exercises.

  • For beginners: this will give you a set of tools and exercices that will massively increase confidence when learning to go upside down, even if this if your first time!

  • For intermediate students: this will help clean up and correct any dysfunctionnal movement patterns holding you back from advancing further along towards press handstand work.

With an emphasis on wrist and shoulder prep, conditioning drills, and different handstand variations (from using the wall to kick-ups to press-ups for intermediate students), you will develop both the strength and coordination necessary to find graceful lift off on your hands. The workshop will offer techniques, skills, and an in-depth exploration of proper biomechanics that will provide rapid progress towards finding lightness on your hands.
